Checkmate, aka Best Premier Ever

WHITE COLLAR YOU ARE STILL MY FAVOURITE SHOW. I watched with helle_d and we were massively squeeing at each other the entire time. She's a bit more ship and I'm more h/c, but our opinions on this were identical and pretty much amounted to FLAIL. ♥

That episode had everything I was hoping for, and more. Awesome El! Awesome Peter! Neal giving up the treasure instantly, and Mozzie too! Neal telling Peter he stayed because of him! T_T

And I loved the "being forced to run a con with Keller" plot so much. The moment Keller demanded he would be inside the truck with Neal it was "uh oh", and it was glorious. And we got hurt!Neal :D

...someone's going to write a missing scene where once Peter and El have finished reuniting Neal gets looked after because of his concussion, aren't they? /iz shallow *gg*

SO MUCH AWWWWWWWESOME. :D I just rewatched it, and it's just as good the second time! I HAVE ALL THE FEEEEEEEEEELINGS. Making a list of my favorite things about the episode feels redundant because I liked EVERYTHING! Every part is my favorite part! Running the con with Keller was indeed the best thing ever ("Who in this room haven't you tried to kill?"), and everyone being fully up front and honest with each other -- Neal stayed because of Peter, and Mozzie really does care about the Suits, and Peter knows that it's Keller to blame for Elizabeth's kidnapping and not Mozzie or Neal, and they all said so, to each other, and it was THE BEST THING IN THE WHOLE WORLD.

ETA: Also, this episode needs ALL THE MISSING SCENES. :D I would be writing tags all over the place, except the end of the episode does imply that Neal's probation hearing & the anklet thing is going to be dealt with next episode, and I don't want to write anything that'll just be instantly jossed! But I want ALL THE TAGS.

This has now become possibly my favourite episode of the show. It has ALL THE THINGS EVER. I have now rewatched the entire scene from Neal waking up in the van to the end of the fight with Keller more times than I care to admit, it just has Peter and Neal being so absolutely awesome.

You should definitely write all the tags and missing scenes! :D (I've just started writing some complete comfort fluff for this because the bank-hostage story is turning into a complete mess and needs to be re-plotted and argh :P)

I've watched the fight scene so many times. :D It just hit my id perfectly -- the last-minute rescue, and the reciprocal saving-each-others'-lives. I don't think this is my one and only favorite episode, but it is certainly in the top four or five episodes that I can't choose between as a favorite. *g*
