I've never heard of Downtown Abbey. Is it showing at the moment or is it an older show?

Indeed, and I've written another 50 words since I made this post :)

It's airing at the moment, the sixth out of seven episodes was on the Sunday just gone. A very good costume drama, I highly recommend it! It is full of awesome, awesome women :D

Downton Abbey is highly enjoyable and greatly escapist - it's pre-Great War aristocratic Britain as myth, really, with class structures and gender relations being challenged in a gently-expressed way, using the unmarried unentailed daughters hook familiar from Jane Austen. The icons are great.

I'm now up to nearly the amount I should have written yesterday, so I guess I'm not doing too badly! *gg* My main problem right now is that my brain is totally failing to come up with plots. Argh.
