frith_in_thornsI have written 12k of the Goblin Fruit fic since last Sunday, and it continues to be So Very. And will need quite a few warnings. Anyway.

"Is he asleep?" someone whispered.
"Mmm," Zhao Yunlan replied, drowsily. "Maybe."
"I think… you shouldn't sleep here." It was Zhu Hong speaking. Her voice was softened, blurred, as if Shen Wei heard her through water.
"I'm not —" Zhao Yunlan said. "I want to stay with him."
"We'll make you a bed on the sofa," Zhu Hong said.
"No, I want to —"
"Lao-Zhao," Da Qing said. "Do you really want to risk hurting Shen Wei again?"
