30 Days of Guardian Day 5: Favourite set

I was going to answer this question with the SID building, which is pretty fun (although weirdly confusing -- I was extremely grateful to naye pointing out when beta-reading one of my fics that I was clearly under the impression that both the lab and Zhao Yunlan's office are upstairs, when actually neither of them is.)

But actually I've seen several people give that answer already. So I think I'm going to go with the ridiculous over-the-top-ness which is Dixing Palace. The darkness! The lava! The definitely-not-polystyerine pillars! THE LAVA. I love it so much. It's such a Choice.

Untamed's Nevernight is probably the best I've seen so far.

Out of all the weirdness in The Untamed, the one I will never be over is everyone treating it as a great mystery that no one found WWX's body after he fell into a lava pit.

It made loads of sense for it's original "basically hell" but then none at all after the script revisions XD I deeply love the unnecessary and apparently not very hot lava.

The LAVA! The image of Zhao Yunlan lounging in the Lava Room on a random cut-off bit of stairs that go nowhere is golden.

The SID building is confusing. Something is definitely upstairs (what with the fireman pole and everything) but I can never keep straight what...

If Zhao Yunlan sees a thing that would be good for lounging, he lounges. Like a cat.

It's the library upstairs, I know that one! I feel like it shouldn't be this confusing, it must be something about the camera angles and the way they switch between locations.

Based just on the pictures, that IS an amazing set. I'm always a fan of random lava. ;D

I have to say, when I watched Guardian I thought that was a lot of unnecessary lava, and then I watched The Untamed. Which has SO MUCH MORE. I guess it's a very cdrama thing XD

Excuse you, there is no such thing as unnecessary lava, there is only necessary lava and EVEN MORE necessary lava. One cannot have too much lava, especially not in one's home.

ETA: YAY, I'm glad it's not annoying! *hugs back* I mean, I didn't really think it was, but there was always a possibility that you were like "... why does she keep commenting, she doesn't even WATCH it." XD

I'm slowly catching up with the 30 days memes, and I love this choice! I love the Dijun Palace set. You see it and you know things in Dixing are not going great. And the lava is so extra special. :D
