[Little bit now, maybe more later but no promises. They are all absolute children, I love this prompt.]

"Don't get your germs on me," Pangzi said.

Liu Sang glared, or tried to, but the effect was sadly ruined by a coughing fit. He shoved his sleeve over his face, trying to muffle it, and took the opportunity to mop at his nose.

"Who's got germs?" Wu Xie asked. A bit absently, because he was mostly absorbed by staring at the carvings.

Pangzi rolled his eyes. "Jinx does. Seriously, have you not noticed?"

Wu Xie broke off his examination of the stones to examine Liu Sang instead. "Pangzi's right, you do look sick," he said. "Are you sure you should be here?"

Liu Sang gritted his teeth at the unwanted attention. "It's a cold," he said. "I'm fine."

"You've been snuffling all morning," Pangzi said. "It's getting annoying."

Liu Sang sniffed as viciously as he could, pettily pleased when Pangzi shot him a disgusted look. He knew he was sniffling. He couldn't not be aware. The worst thing about colds was the noise.

The second-worst thing was the horrible endless sensation of his nose endlessly trying to melt off his face. He surreptitiously used his sleeve again to wipe the sore skin above his upper lip. Of course he didn't have any tissues with him.

"Seriously, you can go back to the hotel if you like," Wu Xie said.

"You already needed my hearing to get through one of this tomb's puzzles," Liu Sang said. "How do you expect to manage without me if there are more of them?"

"I'm sure we can figure something out," Wu Xie said.

A hand clamped over Liu Sang's forehead from behind. It was so unexpected that his body reacted without conscious input -- he jabbed backwards with his elbow, twisting away almost before making contact, throwing his body towards the nearest solid wall, before turning back to see his attacker --

-- Who was Pangzi. Of course. Looking very startled, and a bit winded. "Jinx?" he said, cautiously. "Liu Sang?"

Liu Sang realised he was breathing hard. A horrible raspy sound. "Sorry," he panted, shakily. "Sorry." And then embarrassment kicked in, wrapped in fury for protection. "What were you doing?" he snapped.

"Checking to see if you had a fever," Pangzi said. Still very carefully. "I didn't mean to sneak up on you."

"I don't need you checking anything," Liu Sang retorted. Still badly shaken by not having noticed Pangzi approach.

"How about we all take a break?" Wu Xie asked, very diplomatically. "We should wait for Xiaoge to get back from scouting."

The plan had been to try and open the next door while Zhang Qiling was scouting. Liu Sang reluctantly sat down when the other two did, and took a long and badly-needed drink from his canteen. Pangzi and Wu Xie were both surreptitiously eyeing him so hard it was practically a physical sensation, between doing their supremely annoying thing of trying to communicate with each other through face-twitches. Liu Sang was spitefully pleased that his presence prevented any of their more effective forms of gossiping.
