Chapter 2 of Silence sharp as blades is up! This chapter 2900 words/6300 so far. Featuring angst, kissing, more angst, semblance of plot, angst.
(This chapter is quite short and then tomorrow's is quite a bit longer because I only decided last-minute to slice the fic up and that's where the useful scene breaks were.)

I wrote 21,800 words in July. That is astounding for me. I wrote fairly consistently, too! So many fic ideas.
I want to write some Detective L fic too but that's harder because of the subs. Normally when I write I can play it out in my head as I go and then I can hear the characters saying their lines and know immediately if it sounds right not. The subs make this much harder though because I can't actually *hear* them. (And unlike reading a book there's no authorial voice to carry them.) I had this issue with Guardian too but I read a load of other fics first so I think I arrived at a fandom consensus of how they sound, but Det L has very few fic so there isn't the same consensus -- they sound quite different to me in each fic I've read. So that's frustrating me a bit. Ah well.

I've started vid-clipping! Det L first because there are fewer episodes so it's less intimidating. I've got three vids I want to make right now: a Det L vid to "Never Look Away" by Vienna Teng which is just a look at the prettyyyyy vid, then two for Guardian -- one to "In Another Life" also by Vienna Teng (not taking the lyrics literally, but just looking at facets of the show/their relationship) and then one to "Bonfire Heart" by James Blunt which will be a ship-vid of ANGST as you can tell by the title.
