Not a pairing I care for, which I mention only because you really make it work here despite my aversion. I really feel for Jennifer, having gone through that, having seen all of that, having escaped the same fate only by the same quirk that usually dooms women in horror narratives (tripping while running away). I really like, too, that Rodney doesn't know the perfect thing to do first but just stays there, trying.
