so it's gonna be forever
I went to VidUKon at the weekend, which I have not done before. And I had a very lovely time! It was really lovely to see all the twitter gang, and to make new friends :) I have come away very inspired to do More Fucking Vidding, and have recs for programs to help me with this.
Also I have bought several games in the Steam summer sale on the strength of watching fanvids of them, namely Transistor and Syberia (and Syberia II). Pretty sure Monument Valley will follow. There was a satisfying amount of Mass Effect chat, which is always fun.
There's a list of TV shows and films I need to check out too, as always... and I have been trying to persuade more people to watch Eternal Law. (Angsty angels and fallen angels being terrible lawyers and bitter exes in York! It's great!) Also Criminal Minds.
I hadn't actually investigated VidUKon properly before this year because I kind of thought it was only for people seriously into making vids? And that there would be loads of technical panels/discussion and I would feel left out? But actually it was a weekend-long fanvid watching party with lollipops and tea and endless Mad Max squee. So it was wonderful and I highly recommend it!

I've already decided I'm going to submit Never Alone as a festivid fandom this year. And potentially Sunless Sea, although I'm not sure I'd be brave enough to vid that one myself...

Haven't really given thought to anything but vegging in front of the computer since I got home. When is NineWorlds happening? Would be fun to get to some kind of fannish event this Summer for sure. The plan was Vividcon in August, but with the way my head has been lately, the travel expenses are just too much when I might just not be up for it at all.
Oh that'll make a great vid for sure, it was so pretty! Sunless Sea might be more difficult to pull off, but I'd be super interested to see what people come up with. Really happy more game vids are happening around here.
oh and do you mind if I add you on Steam?
