I know I'm way behind with my fic reading/commenting, so I feel bad about posting my own fic anyway! But this is a tag to the latest episode, so I thought I should get it up before the next one airs.

Title: We Build Our Lives On Shifting Sand
Characters/Pairing: Neal, Peter; Gen
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 2000
Warnings: SPOILERS for 5x11. Also please see notes below.
Notes: This is my [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo fill for the "suicide attempt" square. This is NOT anything explicit; just a (slightly oblique) discussion of events in the episode.

Notes: This is my SandyAid fic for [livejournal.com profile] leonie_alastair, horrendously late! I really apologise, and hope you enjoy it.
I'm using this as my wild card square (smoke inhalation) in [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo. Thank you [livejournal.com profile] helle_d and [livejournal.com profile] sholio for advance reading!

Summary: An FBI agent, a CI and an ex-con infiltrate a party. Only one comes out.

Neal could practically hear Peter refrain from telling them that this wasn't a game. )

Title: Hold With All You Have
Characters/Pairings:Neal, Peter, Diana, others. Gen with mild Peter/Elizabeth, Diana/Christie, and Diana/OFC.
Rating: FRT
Word Count: 32,500
Spoilers: Plot points from early season 4.
Warnings: This is an apocafic, dealing with a pandemic. Quite a few warnings are included in that, including disturbing descriptions, violence, a lot of general background death, and death/implied death of canon characters. (Specifically: Christie's death is described; Satchmo dies off-screen; other characters including June, Jones and Hughes have unresolved fates.)
Author's Note: This fills the "apocalypse" square on my [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo card. It is also very much the longest story I have ever sat down and written. I very much hope you enjoy it!
Beta: [livejournal.com profile] sholio, [livejournal.com profile] florastuart and [livejournal.com profile] helle_d, who were all wonderful and extremely patient with me. Thank you so much!

Word count: 3500
Warnings: None
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] aqwt101, as promised aaaages ago. Also fills the "cuddling" square on my [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo card. (I hadn't written completely gratuitous drugged!Neal for a while, and it's very relaxing.)

Summary: Neal maintained the ability to get out of trouble on his own for exactly as long as he needed to.

Peter had been having a bad feeling about this stage of the operation all day )

Rating: PG-13
Word count: 4000
Warnings: None
Notes: Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] florastuart and [livejournal.com profile] helle_d for reading this and encouraging me!
I also totally stole the inspiration for this fic from these two prompts on the feverfest meme. (Which is to say, yes, this is yet more cliche sickfic. You have been warned.)

Summary: There are still some things about Neal that Peter doesn't quite get. But June does.

Lighthouses )

frith_in_thorns: Unfortunately, you'll also all blow up. (Neal 2)
More fic! The comfest prompts ate my brain a bit.

In a shocking departure from my normal shippy gen, this is gen-ish ship. (But mostly angsty h/c floof.)

Title: Unravelling
Characters/Pairing: Established Peter/Neal(/El)
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 1300
Warnings: None
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] love_82's prompt at [livejournal.com profile] whitecollarhc. This is so very plotless.

Summary: Some days are bad ones.

Title: Safe To Shore
Characters/Pairing: Neal, Peter, Diana; Gen
Rating: PG
Word count: 2000
Warnings: None
Notes: For [livejournal.com profile] sholio's prompt of drugged!Peter over on [livejournal.com profile] whitecollarhc's Comfest.
This fic contains about my usual amount of context. Which is to say, not a lot.

Summary: Neal and Diana make a good team. Especially when it comes to unexpected situations, like looking after their boss.

Safe To Shore )

frith_in_thorns: A sailing boat, mostly sunk (.Failboat)
Masterpost for the Fallen London 'verse (fics by both myself and [livejournal.com profile] sholio)

London is by no means the only thing in the vast cavern of the Neath; there is also the unterzee, or zee for short. On which one zails, to reach the lands beyond — Polythreme, The Iron Republic, North. It can sometimes feel like it's taking forever to cross it. Sometimes one encounters other zailers, or… less pleasant things.

Title: Fair Zailing
Characters/Pairing: Peter, Neal, El; Gen
Rating: PG
Word count: 1800
Warnings: None
Notes: This is basically floof. I know, I'm surprised too. (I will write another one with All The Peril.)

Summary: It's a long voyage across the broad unterzee.

Fair Zailing )
frith_in_thorns: Hardcover books standing upright (.Books)
This one requires some explanation first.

Fallen London has a serial killer, Jack-of-Smiles. Although actually Jack isn't any one person — someone becomes Jack as a result of picking up an extremely bloodthirsty semi-sentient knife. Then they lose their mind and go on a killing spree, with lethality varying between "throat cut but will recover from being dead very soon" to "sliced up into a lot of little pieces".

…I was rather obviously going to write this fic sooner or later. I am even less good at writing things which aren't angsty hurt/comfort in this 'verse than I normally am.

Title: Jack-of-Smiles
Author: [personal profile] frith_in_thorns
Characters/Pairing: Jack, Peter, Neal, El; Gen
Rating: T
Word count: 2300
Warnings: This is very dark. Graphic violence and character death which is non-permanent
Notes: Claiming for the Serial Killers square on [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo.
Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] sholio and [livejournal.com profile] helle_d for persuading me to post this!

Summary: The knife is in his hand and it tells him his name. Tells him to let no one get in his way.

Jack-of-Smiles )
frith_in_thorns: Unfortunately, you'll also all blow up. (Neal 1)
...I have only managed to post one of my stocking fics so far. The reason for this is that I decided I had better spread them out because posting about four sick!Neal fics in quick succession would make the people not friends with me for my fic think I'm even weirder than they already do. And then I never started posting them so had nothing to spread out from. Anyway, fic now!

Title: Practicalities
Characters/Pairing: Neal, Peter; Gen
Rating: PG
Word count: 2800
Warnings: None
Notes: Incredibly gratuitous sick!Neal written for [livejournal.com profile] sahiya's [community profile] fandom_stocking.(On the day we run out of fandom space for this trope I shall be very sad.)
Also the Fever square on [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo because astonishingly I haven't posted anything for that square yet.

Summary: He should call Peter. It took a long time for that thought to occur to him, but once it did it was motivating enough to persuade him to emerge from the cocoon of blankets.

Practicalities )

frith_in_thorns: Unfortunately, you'll also all blow up. (Fallen London - mushroom hat)
This is officially a 'verse now. [livejournal.com profile] sholio and I have written over 10k words of this between us so far. It's so much fun.

Title: A Game of Croquet
Characters/Pairing: Neal/The Affectionate Devil, Peter
Rating: PG-13 (There is flirting, but that's all.)
Word count: 1500
Warnings: I don't think so.
Notes: Neal is such a good fit for the "An Intimate of Devils" storyline.

Summary: Croquet is a genteel sport. Conversations, on the other hand, are fair game for cheating.

Title: Sense Memory
Characters/Pairing: Neal, Peter, Diana; Gen
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 2200
Warnings: PTSD. Also spoilers for 1x13 and brief reference to a scene from 2x16.
Notes: Written for [livejournal.com profile] kriadydragon's [community profile] fandom_stocking. (Also claiming as my Fire square on [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo.)
And [livejournal.com profile] leesa_perrie made me an awesome cover!

Summary: He can't look away from the flames and suddenly, horribly, it's Kate's face he sees in them; that moment of the explosion hanging suspended in white heat.

frith_in_thorns: Unfortunately, you'll also all blow up. (Neal 1)
This is the first of my [community profile] fandom_stocking fics to be posted to my journal. It's also possibly the strangest. [livejournal.com profile] sholio and I had a very long and exclamation-mark filled discussion recently about how the characters from White Collar would get on in Fallen London, which is a web game which is beautiful and dark and hilarious and all kinds of wonderful (The game description is in italics below the header). Then I wrote this for her. More ficlets in this 'verse will almost certainly follow.

Title: A Boat Trip
Characters: Peter, Neal, the Boatman, El
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 1550
Warnings: Character death as game mechanic. Entirely non-permanent.
Notes: Hopefully this will make some sort of sense without playing the game! For this segment, what you need to know: You have a Wounds quality. When your Wounds are high enough you die, and are sent to the river where you have to stay until you've reduced your Wounds enough to come back to life again. In Fallen London it is all but impossible to die permanently, and all the inhabitants know it.

Summary: Peter is temporarily dead. Neal thinks he should have some company.

- - -

Three decades ago, London was stolen by bats. Dragged deep into the earth by the Echo Bazaar. The sun is gone. All we have is the gas-light of Mr Fires.
But Londoners can get used to anything. And it's quiet down here with the devils and the darkness and the mushroom wine. Peaceful.
So welcome. Delicious Friend.

Title: Lies That Set You Free
Characters/Pairing: El + team; Gen with Peter/El
Rating: T
Word count: 8100
Warnings: Spoilers through season 3.
Notes: This is what I spent a large portion of my November writing, with much encouragement from [livejournal.com profile] helle_d. It counts for the Electrocution square on my [livejournal.com profile] hc_bingo card.

This is for an absolutely awesome prompt by [livejournal.com profile] sholio on [livejournal.com profile] collarcorner.

Summary: Elizabeth gets a ransom demand for Peter and Neal. She also gets severely underestimated.

frith_in_thorns: Unfortunately, you'll also all blow up. (White Collar - Neal - worried shirt)
Title: Proof
Characters/Pairing: Peter, Neal, El; Gen
Rating: PG
Word count: 3,800
Warnings: None
Notes: This is completely shameless h/c floof, part of my November flood of writing. (I don't even have the excuse of a relevant bingo square.) I intended to post this for my advent day at [livejournal.com profile] whitecollarhc and then got insecure about it. But better late than never?
Also, happy Christmas! :)

Summary: Peter rolled his eyes. "Wow, intoxication just strips you of all your maturity, doesn't it? What little you had to begin with."

Proof )

frith_in_thorns: Unfortunately, you'll also all blow up. (White Collar - Peter - smile frame)
Fic! And this one tips me into having posted over 100,000 words in White Collar fandom since I discovered the show last December. It is the best fandom, seriously. *hugs everyone*
